How we can help you
YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS - TOGETHER WE’LL FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU
TELEHEALTH SERVICES
At Mind Menders, we offer comprehensive psychiatric telehealth services to provide convenient, secure, and effective mental health care from the comfort of your home. Through our HIPAA-compliant virtual platform, clients can access evaluations, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric support without the need for in-person visits.
WHY THIS WORKS:
Our telehealth services are available to children, adolescents, and adults, making it easier to maintain consistent care regardless of location, schedule, or mobility. Our providers deliver compassionate and personalized treatment designed to meet your unique needs in a safe and accessible online environment.
IN-PERSON PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION + TREATMENT
We provide thorough in-person psychiatric evaluations to assess your mental health needs in a comfortable, private, and supportive setting. During your initial visit, our experienced providers will conduct a comprehensive assessment that includes discussing your medical and mental health history, current symptoms, personal goals, and treatment options.
WHY THIS WORKS:
Many of our patients prefer seeing their providers in person and we love to have the space to accommodate that for our clients. Our in-person care is designed to foster a strong therapeutic relationship and ensure you receive compassionate, evidence-based support every step of the way.
ADHD SCREENING
We offer comprehensive ADHD screening and testing for children, adolescents, and adults to evaluate attention, focus, impulsivity, and related symptoms.
WHY THIS WORKS:
Our screening process includes clinical interviews, standardized assessment tools, and a thorough review of personal, academic, and behavioral history to ensure an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
GENETIC TESTING
Our practice partners with a company who provides testing that helps us understand how your genes may affect your response to certain medications.
WHY THIS WORKS:
By analyzing a simple DNA sample—usually from a cheek swab—we can identify which psychiatric medications may work best for you and which ones might cause side effects or be less effective. This testing supports more informed prescribing decisions, potentially reducing the trial-and-error process and helping you find the right treatment faster.
INTEGRATED PSYCHOTHERAPY
The clinicians at Mind Menders wholeheartedly believe in integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address the unique needs of our clients.
WHY THIS WORKS:
By blending methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, trauma-informed care, and humanistic principles, our providers create a personalized treatment experience. This holistic approach supports emotional healing, personal growth, and long-term mental wellness by treating the whole person—not just the diagnosis.

Cancellation & Missed Appointments Policy
At Mind Menders, we value your time and are committed to providing you with consistent, high-quality care. In order to serve all our clients effectively, we have established the following policy regarding cancellations and missed appointments:
Cancellation Notice
We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client in need of care. To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us at 619-493-3625 or use our online patient portal.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows:
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be considered a late cancellation.
Missed appointments without any notice will be considered a no-show.
In either case, a fee may be charged to your account. This fee is not covered by insurance and must be paid before your next scheduled visit.
Emergencies & Exceptions
We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen. Please contact us as soon as possible if you believe you will miss your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
Chronic Missed Appointments:
Repeated missed appointments or late cancellations may result in limitations on future scheduling, placement on a waitlist, or termination of care from our practice.
Incomplete Intake Forms:
Per our office policy, we ask that all intake forms and insurance information be completed at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. This allows our office staff and providers to prepare and ensure we can fully support your needs. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation of your appointment.
